93.3 WMMR host Pierre Roberts together with Janis Digital Media presents Bon Jovi LIVE in Philadelphia, for FREE! Why did I say, free? Yes I meant free! Free as in commercial-free. Free as in there is no need to buy tickets. Actually, it’s only for those Philadelphia Soul season ticket-holders and fans (who won their tickets from WMMR). For a bit of a trivia: John Bon Jovi promised Philadelphia a free concert when Philadelphia Soul won the Arena Bowl in the summer 2008. He was an investor in Philadelphia Soul back then (until now, I think). So Bon Jovi went to WMMR one morning and promised that his band would have a free concert as keeping his promise. The one-hour long special performance of Bon Jovi was held at the Wachovia Center and was hosted by Pierre Robert. It was broadcasted live at 93.3 WMMR with literally no commercial breaks, all over Philadelphia and the neighboring regions.

It was also broadcasted live over the internet for those listeners of 93.3 WMMR via the radio’s livestream. It was an epic hour for the Philadelphia Bon Jovi fans indeed as this was part of a tour that would last for more than two years! What a very long tour that was: 135 shows for 30 countries, Pierre Robert couldn’t help but ask why would a legend in the music industry that has nothing more to prove to their fans anymore still go on such a long tour?
