Preston and Steve: Paintball Jeopardy Video Production

video synopsis by: Gabriel A.

Paintball jeopardy is a contest by the WMMR Preston and Steve Show during the Fat Tuesday 2007 celebration live at Club Risque last February 20, 2007 with the video production by Janis Digital Media. It was a question and answer portion but with a painful twist. Unlike the usual question and answer game where you would press a buzzer first to be able to answer, paintball jeopardy have a different way of doing this. For each pair, one gets to be the answerer and the other would be the buzzer. The answerer holding the airsoft paint gun, if he thinks he knows the answer, will shoot his partner on the stage and he gets to shoot first just then he could try to answer the question.

The sound of the buzzer is replaced by the scream of their partners due to being shot at close range by their respective partners.  This is relatively fun to watch and uniquely amusing but frankly, being shot by a paint gun is no joke, it hurts, extremely! It feels almost like a punch but with a fist the size of a baby and the power of a URCC athlete. The pain inflected by the paintball pierces and more often than not, it wounds the skin because of the impact especially at close range.

Anyways, the brave contestants were (in pairs) Dan and Brent, Justin and Hugh, Bruce and Anthony. It was a very informative and equally entertaining portion of the Fat Tuesday 2007 celebration with questions like: What is the theme song covered by Guns and Roses at a James Bond movie?; Mardi Gras is always celebrated 47 days before what Christian holiday occasion?; and the giveaway question for those who always watch the television: all the buildings were destroyed except for?

Do you happen to know the answer to these questions? If not, then you would find the answers when you watch the video along with other questions that might be new to you and can be useful for you someday. Fat Tuesday is a festival celebrated all over the world more commonly known as Mardi Gras at other parts of the world. This video production is by the WMMR video partner, Janis Digital Media.
